History and the way we work
Robin has over 40 years in the building trade, starting as an apprentice carpenter when he also completed his advanced City & Guilds certificate. Progressing to general foreman for the same company he later became a site agent.
During this time he worked for prestigious companies including Laing Management and Bowmate Construction. Projects included:
• Redhill Shopping Centre
• Charing Cross Station refurbishment
• Players Theatre
• London City Airport
• Sky TV Headquarters and Studios
• Refurbishment of high-status yacht at Denham Wharf
• Full refurbishment of Fairlawns (a manor house near Sevenoaks)
Robin set up his own business in 1989 and has been responsible for a wide range of domestic and small commercial projects in and around Bromley. He is assisted by an able team with various skills, most of whom have worked for the firm for many years. When necessary, sub-contractors known personally to Robin will be employed, their work being project managed and guaranteed by him. Clients may also use their own sub-contractors and Robin will ensure that activities are coordinated efficiently.
Most work is obtained by personal recommendation, often referred by local architects who have been commissioned by clients. The firm’s long standing reputation with other professionals enables it to source necessary drawings and provide advice on design and building regulations to help clients through the planning process. One architect he has worked with frequently is Crofton Design Services and its website provides useful information about the planning process and building regulations.
No job is too big or too small and clients can be assured of Robin's personal involvement right through the project. He will be on site every day to ensure that the client can convey any concerns or detailed requirements. All work is fully guaranteed and Robin is always willing to review any aspect which a client brings to his attention.

• Installation of dormer windows
• Complete house refurbishment
• Sevenoaks MoT station completely renovated
• Conversion of barn to recording studio for songwriter Chris Difford (of Squeeze)
• Retail shop fitting out
